Tram route 48 is a public transport service in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It runs from NewQuay Docklands to North Balwyn via Flinders Street, Wellington Parade and Bridge Road. Like most tram routes in Melbourne, it falls within Metcard ticketing Zone 1, and also has a section in the CitySaver zone. There is also plans to extend the line to Westfield Doncaster.
   Tram route 48 will be one of two tram routes to provide a transport link to the Southern Star Observation Wheel tourist attraction which is currently under construction.

There are 57 stops on route 48.
